Data Processing Addendum Overview

1. Customer content

For business customer content, the WALO customer is generally the controller or owner of the data. WALO generally acts as a processor or service provider that processes customer content to provide the requested service.

2. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, notices, permissions, and consent basis for personal information you send to WALO, including customer records, phone numbers, email addresses, files, messages, photos, and connected-account data.

3. WALO responsibilities

WALO processes customer content to provide and support the service, secure the platform, troubleshoot, comply with law, and improve WALO as described in the Privacy Policy and Terms. WALO does not sell customer content.

4. Transfers and subprocessors

WALO may use subprocessors for hosting, AI processing, messaging, email, payments, storage, analytics, and browser verification. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. WALO uses provider terms, contractual safeguards, and security controls where appropriate.

5. Sensitive data

WALO is not intended for regulated medical records, PHI, government IDs, private keys, or highly sensitive data unless a feature clearly says it supports that category and the proper agreement is in place.
